The unfortunate death of Christina Grimmie in Orlando, Florida is a harsh reminder of the importance of quality security.
The up and coming pop star, known for her performance on the Voice, Christina Grimmie’s was gunned down as she was signing autographs after her show at the Plaza Live in Orlando. The shooter, James Loibl, was able to enter the event with two guns, two spare magazines, and a large hunting knife.
The event did not have metal detectors, no pat down for weapons, or have armed security. The suspect was allowed to get in close proximity to the victim. The gunman was tackled by Christina’s own brother, before he shot and killed himself.

According to ABC News the suit reads, “The owners of the facility in which she performed and the outside security company hired to provide security for the concert … failed to take adequate security measures to ensure the safety of the performers and the attendees at the concert venue.”
