Tampa Division: Wild Fire in Canada

Ft. McMurray in burning to the ground. This is a small city in northern Alberta Canada that is near the Oil Sands project. The tragedy of the situation is enough to capture our interest and empathy but the speed at which a city burned to the ground in peacetime and in Canada is shocking to us all. So many of my blogs are asking people to be prepared for the unexpected and unpredictable. A year ago who would have expected Donald Trump to be the candidate for the Republican Party. Who would have expected the middle east to be “on fire”. What we have to learn from all of this is that the unexpected happens far more often than we would think. We can’t be fully prepared for all emergencies but if nothing else we must be prepared to get prepared. The world is moving faster and the pendulum is swinging wider. We better be prepared to be prepared!
