Tampa Bay Division: NSA Domestic Spying being curtailed

The USA Freedom Act has passed the House of Representatives with support from both parties and will now head to the Senate for consideration. The National Security Agency will have additional limitations on gathering of telephone “mega data”. Individual searches may be conducted if search warrants are issued by the court. This additional over site will improve the public’ confidence in the safety and security of the governments handling of personal information while insuring that intelligence can be obtained from the data under closer supervision of the courts and other safety systems.  Common sense and proportion must be used but those elements are almost impossible to legislate.
