Tampa Bay Division: Campus Shootings

Campus shootings are becoming all too common place for anyone to ignore. Many people will fall back to their position on gun ownership rights in order to stop ANY erosion in their right to bear arms. This issue will not be solved by gun control alone. Society must build a coalition of preventative measures and rapid response protocols to deal with this very real problem. Curtis Protective Services provides officers on site to provide one level of security but we believe that the solution is only partly addressed with armed officers or an increasingly armed population. Curtis Protective Services has developed an “Active Shooter” mitigation kit for businesses, schools or any environment. The kit is designed to slow the shooter down until the police can arrive to neutralize the threat. Our kit contains pepper spray grenades, Taser, arm and leg restraints. All are contained in a bio metrically accessed safe. Persons having access to the safe must be trained and certified annually with quarterly training.
