Is the application of modern technology a good investment? Overall YES, it is a good investment. At Curtis Protective Services we modernize our services and equipment approximately every eighteen months, often before it is worn out or obsolete. The reason for this is that we have found that the new practices or equipment surpasses the former significantly. The return on investment is often found to be months if not weeks. The other factor that happens when new technology if introduced into our corporation is the staff discover new applications for our services that would never have come to light had the new equipment not been available. New technology and equipment forces us out of our comfort zone and causes us to “think”. We must remember that the world continues to evolve even if we don’t. Those companies that don’t keep up with the “state of the art” practices will fall behind at about 15% a year. Can anyone of us afford to be 15/30 or 45% behind our competition: Not for long!
