We hear it every day on the news, another business gets broken into or robbed. It happens everywhere, more widespread, and criminals are becoming more confident and know how to get around security cameras.

Take the strip mall located between Tampa and Orlando, 4:30 am on a Tuesday morning. The criminals managed to flip a breaker, which cut off the power to the entire shopping plaza, even to the security cameras.

Five business owners came into work to find their doors smashed in, glass on the ground, and their cash registers missing.

“A 14-year-old boy was arrested after he admitted to breaking into more than 125 cars in the tourist districts in Orange and Osceola counties,“ writes the Orlando Sentinel.

In Northwest Miami Dade, 7 News reports of around 20 vehicles being burglarized Wednesday around 3:30 a.m.. “The cars had broken windows, and according to authorities, credit cards, wallets and a security guard’s firearm were among the items taken.”

Investigators in Cobb County, Georgia arrest 2 people linked to over 70 burglaries. One of the business owners told the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, “They made it look so easy to do. (They were) in and out in a minute. They destroyed property and took away thousands in merchandise,”

Scenarios like these are playing out all over Florida and Georgia, making security a very high priority!
