TSA; How are they Really Doing? I believe that TSA is doing as good a job as can be done under impossible requests and requirements of their service. I find it terribly ironic that the airlines are complaining about the slow lines when they are responsible for the increase in the number of bags people are carrying onto the planes due to the additional charges by the airlines. Do the airlines really need to have people carry their bags when the weight of the bags has to be borne by the airline anyway. Does the plane care if the bags are above or below the cabin!! Now the politicians want to blame the TSA for delays when they know or have a responsibility to know that this type of security is primarily for show anyway. Real security can be accomplished much more accurately using more high tech metrology. The airlines and the politicians are holding the TSA responsible for delays that they themselves have caused. Ross Perot once said “you don’t kick a pullin mule”, maybe the airlines and the politicians should quiet their complaints for a moment and think about that.
