The FBI has had its leader fired by President Trump this past week. No one would disagree with the Presidents right to fire the head of the FBI but many are disagreeing with the reasons for the firing. James Comey has been a strong and moral leader of the FBI. He did not deserve to be fired under the pretense given by President Trump. President Trump says that Director Comey bungled the Hillary Clinton email investigation. If that was the true reason then he should have been fired at that time, day one, not now. I believe that President Trump has irreparably damaged his presidency and worse, damaged our country.
All nations need strong institutions. The United States of America because of our unique status in this world at this time, need strong institutions. Trump has damaged this for very little cause.
We now all have to wonder who is next.
