The “Guidance Document” that has recently been released will outline optimum messages for the five most significant emergency scenarios. The information will be designed for both visual and audible messaging. The concept is to provide short, clear, simple language in active present tense verbs. The new format will enable clear and consistent messaging that will be easily understood under stressful situations. As many readers will know that it is critical for people under stress to be provided adequate information quickly and understandably in order to save lives and expedite rescue and mitigate loss.
