Just imagine how much damage just an accidental fire cause, loss of life and property. It is the responsibility of the owner and manager to keep everyone and everything safe. You probably have all the proper fire alarms, suppression systems, and extinguishers in place, but what happens when they not working due to repairs, the water is shut off, or the sprinkler or pump is out of service?

Though fires are rare, they do happen. Keeping tenants safe is a big responsibility. Insurance companies and attorneys will be looking for someone to be held accountable if something does happen.

Reasons For A Fire Watch Service

Replacing fire doors

Fire doors are crucial to commercial buildings. They are responsible for stopping a fire from spreading to other parts of a structure. Often times these doors need to be replaced, it is vital to have a fire watch service monitor the situation when the doors are down.

Building construction

If there is construction somewhere on the property, a fire watch or security guard may be necessary. Not only to keep things safe, but to ensure there isn’t a spark or fire.

Alarm system not working

When the alarm system is down or being worked on, it can be especially dangerous. Not only does it put people’s lives at risk, the damages and repairs can be overwhelming.

Power outages

Nobody ever really plans for a power outage, but when it happens, it is important to have a plan in place. A fire watch guard should be a part of that plan. With the power out you need to make sure you are doing everything you can to keep everyone safe.

Upon starting a fire watch service, our highly trained guards will familiarize themselves with the layout of the company’s property, areas of heightened risk for fire, note any potential risk factors, and ensure all toxic or highly flammable materials are secure, as well as other areas of the premises.
