Victor HabbickFIFA has been forced to supplement private security companies who’s security guards failed to show up for some of the tournament matches. The Brazilian government has brought in more than 150,000 police and troops to provide supplemental security. Fans have stormed the venues and forced themselves into the stadiums without tickets. Chilean supporters brought fireworks into the stadium to celebrate their victory contrary to security rules. So far there has been little significant violence and few demonstrations have been able to actually disrupt the World Cup.
