Chairman Michael Lynton, Chairman of Sony Pictures has now approved the release of the movie, The Interview to a small number of theaters for December 25th. Mr. Lynton was abandoned by many should be supporters and allies due to the threat. It appears that “Hollywood” on the most part looked and ran the other way when the threat became a little too real for them. The safest way to see this threat through would have been for Sony NOT to be left alone. Together the movie studios, the government and the overall entertainment industry should have acted in unison to this threat. By leaving Sony to fend for themselves they have left Sony vulnerable as well as themselves. As Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher once said, “you can’t appease a bully, you have to stand up to them”. “Hollywood” should be ashamed of itself.
