Jacksonville Division: Speed Control in Communities

Jacksonville Division is testing out a new speed awareness and control system for Home, Condominium Associations and apartment communities. Curtis Protective Services has introduced Radar trailers with posted speed limit signage along with a digital display board to show the speed of vehicles approaching the radar trailer. So often people drive faster than the speed limit simply not aware of the speed they are traveling due to the fact that they have traveled the roadway to and from their homes hundreds if not thousands of times. The radar trailer will be set up for four to seven days in communities to remind them of (1) the speed limit and (2) their speed.
