Jacksonville Division: Happy 2017

Happy New Year of 2017. Every New Year gives us the opportunity to (unofficially) “do over”. This time of year allows us to refresh our lives and try to be better at the things we fell short of over the past year. There is nothing magical about the new year but symbolically we can use it to release some of the baggage we gathered in 2016. It is time to let go of lingering grudges, doubts and even mistakes. I think it is important to remember all of the things that went wrong or decisions we made that did not work; not to beat ourselves up but to learn. Learn the lesson but drop the weight. Don’t keep carrying the baggage. Over the years the culmination of all of those things that did not go well or we simply things we did badly will wear us down. The world will continue to frustrate our efforts so we have to be able to move fast. To move fast you have to travel light. Don’t carry the regrets of the past year with you. I assure you more trials will face us all in the new year and we need to be able to face them afresh.
