Ft. Lauderdale Division: “Peaceful transfer of Power”

One of the most significant aspects of good governance is the “Peaceful transfer of Power”. We in North America often just take this for granted that once the citizens of a nation have made a decision through a fair process that the winner will receive the “reigns” of power from the previous leader in a peaceful manner: This unfortunately is not always the case. Some leaders believe that they are so indispensable to the nation that they assume the public just didn’t understand what they were doing. This leader will accommodate their “lapse of understanding” and stay in power until the masses realize their mistake. As difficult as it may be to accept defeat, leaders MUST let go. It is paramount to the nation and in the case of the United States of America, vital. Mr. Trump or Mrs. Clinton must accept the decision of the citizens on November 8th, 2106 and accept the victory or the loss. If we fail to do so we cannot tell the consequences of such an action.
