Ft. Lauderdale Division: Donald J Trump

Donald J Trump. I respect and will defend his right to speak his “truth” but equally I defend the right for citizens to accept or reject his beliefs. Never in my life would I have imagined having to write this opinion in the United States of America. A nation that helped defeat demagogues from the time of its creation. The founders understood the risk of democracy and placed safeguards in the Constitution to defend against such persons. I only know of Nazi tyranny that could match in scale the statements and beliefs being presented in this years presidential election. I NEVER thought it would come from America! With my heart I encourage citizens to reject bigotry and provocations in this election. America is strong, even with our flaws. America is where people go to be free and to be able to flourish with their lives as long as they follow the rules and treat people fairly. America don’t be misled by false promises. Good times aren’t behind us, they are ahead of us. Everyone please vote. May God Bless the United States of America
