According to a recent report from US-based research firm The Freedonia Group, the global demand for safety and security services is expected to rise a more than $244 bilion industry by 2016.
Services including armored motor transport and patrol, security guards, private investigations, security consulting, and alarm and security system monitoring are among the highest demand.
The cause for this rise in demand is attributed to the rising middle class in many developing countries, real and perceived crime and terrorism risk, and an increased number of people living in and around urban areas.
What does that mean for people living in Florida and Georgia? Immediately, probably not much. In the future, however, it’s likely that the increased demand for safety and security services will mean more and more companies who claim to offer these services. They may not be up to the task, however, and the difference between a highly trained, professional, and alert safety and security guard (like those we employ here at Curtis Protective Services) and the generic guard may be the difference between the comfort of your customers, community members, or loved ones. In matters of safety and security, it’s wise not to skimp on service. Choose wisely, choose Curtis.
