The political world has changed so dramatically in the United States of America that the daily news can’t keep up with the dramatic events overtaking Washington. We have a President who i inexperienced in governance and is making rookie mistakes. Most politicians go through this phase of learning at a more local level where the consequences of error are significantly less important.
President Trump simply doesn’t know and what is worse, comes from a world where he is accustomed to getting his own way with out debate or counter balancing authorities such as Congress and the Supreme Court. He isn’t used to people who can’t be bullied. Mr. Comey being one of them.
Mr. Comey may speak to Congress in one form or another and what he says will carry a lot weight. He is an incredibly credible man who has a history of integrity and competence. Mr. Trump should have thought very carefully about going after a man of this character; Trump will lose.
I hope that President Trump learns quickly although there are no signs that he is interested. Perhaps he is too old to change. Lets hope we all get through this safely.
