Crime rates had fallen to the rate in the early 1960’s but recently we are seeing a resurgence of violent crime. Perhaps it will be a blip rather than a trend but I am concerned that it is a real change. President Elect Donald Trump may have created an atmosphere where the pent up frustrations are more freely demonstrated by our actions. Certainly we have seen increased examples of racism on television. Time will tell if it is simply the news media trying to get better ratings or if it is in fact real.  I believe it is real. People are not reluctant to express their frustrations with almost anything from politics to Brexit. I think we should prepare for increased crime and violence both physical and socially. Trump did not create the frustrations but he certainly has made it safe for people to vent.
