St. Petersburg Division: Ft. Myers; Another Shooting

Sunday saw another mass shooting. This time it was in Ft. Myers Florida. Two teenagers dead with many wounded. It appears to be “gang” related but that should not excuse the behavior or allow us to shoo it aside as if it cannot affect us. This type of hyper criminal activity can affect us all. The ability for people to get these weapons that are capable of such high numbers of death and injury is incredibly concerning. If we can’t stop the weapons and it appears we cannot, we must increase our ability to neutralize the criminals faster. I don’t mean for everyone to arm themselves as we will have an increase in accidental deaths probably higher than the death by the criminals. We must empower people in authority to stop the criminal faster. As may of you know, Curtis Protective Services has developed an Active Shooter Mitigation Kit for this purpose.
