Orlando Divison: “Lone Wolfs”

Crazed individuals are attacking people and sites encouraged by radical groups such as AL-Quida and the Islamic State. Counter-terrorism groups are concerned that we will see increased number of these individual attacks in the United States and the industrialized world. New York had police officers attacked by a hatchet wielding radical. Canada suffered two attacks last week; one in the Province of Quebec where an individual ran down two Canadian Service men with his car, killing one and seriously injuring the other. Later in the week Parliament was attacked by a gunman prior to him being killed by the Sgt. at Arms. We will have to prepare to defend ourselves on a moments notice. Israel has had to deal with this for years; I believe we can learn a great deal from them on how we should begin to deal with these acts of violence here.
