Information security this year will exceed $71 billion US dollars this year according to the IT research firm, Gartner. We are all exposed to the almost daily reports where major corporations have been hacked and millions of clients information has been stolen or copied. What is now apparent is the security of mobile devices. As the world evolves into an ever increasingly mobile community the risk is no longer limited to our office computers. The threat now reaches into our pockets as we conduct our business or simply travel from home to the office or from the office to clients locations. Security is no longer just preventing our hardware from being stolen. In fact just loosing equipment would often be the least costly of the potential threats.
