Miami Division: How to Mitigate “Loner” Criminals Actions

The world once again witnessed terrorism in Africa when four gunmen attached a educational institution and killed 147 people while injuring over 100 more. The carnage is outrageous! WE must implement practices that prevent a small number of fanatics, often self radicalized, from being able to create such carnage. These four individuals were able to withstand government forces for over twelve hours while continuing to terrorize innocent people. Curtis Protective Services has developed an “Active Shooter” mitigation program that includes training and equipment that will significantly reduce the damage that criminals can do. Remember that hoping that these sort of criminal acts don’t happen at your location IS NOT A PLAN. We have to “harden” our vulnerable targets without creating fear or building a fortress. We must give our police and military anti terrorism forces a chance to get in to neutralize these people quickly and efficiently without creating a lot of collateral damage.
