Jacksonville Division: The New President

We have a new President and he is different! President Trump is managing his administration in a  unique manner. We have yet to know it this style is by design or default but what is not in question is that it is different and to use a new word, Disruptive. That can be good or bad and we won’t know that for years to come if it is good. We will know if it is bad very quickly. Regardless of the outcome, the world must wait this out to see what happens. Trump is our President and what he does affects the world. On first “blush” it appears that Trump may not fully understand the consequences of his actions and his words. My concern is that if he misjudges or miscalculates his actions or words the whole world will pay the consequences of any mistakes. If one makes mistakes in business, the business takes the “hit”. If one makes a mistake with the leadership of the most powerful nation in the history of mankind, the world takes the “hit”. I believe it would be prudent to watch carefully, let the President lead but we must keep this new style on a “short leash”. I don’t want naivety to be our downfall. Remember the world has a number of very powerful nations that may not choose to lead but they can certainly react if provoked … even by mistake.
