Photo by U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety AdministrationRecently one of my Offices was involved in a motor vehicle collision. The other driver was at fault and was ticketed by the police. This was a minor collision with our car being towed for repair and the other car driving away. We have all seen these MVA’s many times during our travels. What we have to be reminded of is, even without a major injury how much trouble and inconvenience it is for EVERYONE; innocent or guilty. It has now been over a month and the cars are still not repaired properly because the insurance company appears to want to save money by only repairing what they must upon complaint. Both drivers have been without their respective vehicles and still suffer from some personal injury. The point I am trying to make is slow down and don’t allow yourself to feel rushed or distracted while driving. Even a small accident can cause months of inconvenience and personal discomfort. The time spent dealing with a single accident can never be regained and rest assured if we don’t pay attention to our driving and not allow ourselves to become distracted with texting or phone calls. Slow down, pay attention and avoid the needless problems that come with a preventable collision.
