Photo by think4photopThis past week we witnessed another shooting of police officers in Baton Rouge LA in response to the police killings of civilians. In Florida the Daytona Beach Police Department had one of their marked patrol cars burned. The persons responsible left a note stating Black Lives Matter. It is becoming clearer at the retaliation against criminal officers becomes more wide spread that the police need to understand that they must change their culture or face increased retaliatory violence. History should have taught us all that once the tipping point is crossed it is VERY difficult to turn back the tide. There is a tremendous amount of pent up frustration with minorities and if the police don’t change their tactics and change them extremely quickly they may face a level of retaliation that could put all citizens at risk. The regular police officer must rid their departments of the criminal officers or they will face the wrath of the people. Police management must also have the courage to challenge those poor officers and no longer turn a blind eye to their criminal behavior.
