Being a Security Officer is much like being an airline pilot; it’s only interesting when it is done badly!! Our culture idolizes bold action and drama but those are exactly what professional security officers should avoid. Security properly done is “quietly competent”. It neither draws attention to itself or willingly engaged in drama. Our duty is to provide our clients with a safe and secure field so that they can conduct their duties without interference. Clients have professional Safety/Security Officers when they “don’t think about their safety or security”. Our duty is to pre-empt risks by thinking and taking action ahead of any threats that our clients may face. We know that high action and drama will make the evening news; our duty is to have our client NOT on the evening news: For that they hire publicists!
